EB Riding Tip:

Brake setup: How many fingers do you brake with? These days, with the technology of disc brakes, we are able to have much more control of our brakes with much less effort.
Try moving your brake levers towards the center of the bike, so that you can comfortably squeeze the brake lever with one finger (index). This will give you all the power you need, much better control and it will improve your handlebar grip too!

7th Ripper. . . sort of. . .

Posted: April 24, 2008

When I saw the snow outside at 6am on Saturday morning I thought for sure that the Ripper would be canceled, but those NSMBA people are a tough bunch! The 7th Ripper was on and it turned out to be an amazing day, although the riders didn't get anywhere near 7th Secret!

Lots of riders braved the snowy conditions for the event and had an awesome time, Joan of Arc, a hospital patient and even some bunnies showed up for the event. The EB team was there as well; Darren volunteered, Kelli rode, I took photos and Sol made sure that everything else was taken care of!

I was lucky enough to get a lift in James' truck (Obsession Bikes) for the start of the race, which was a great place to shoot from as the pack of rippers followed us down Mountain Highway before heading to the Dempsey Braemar climb.

I managed to shoot from a few locations along the snowy course: photos!

For a full write-up of the event check out: Seventh Ripper Wrap!

Thank-you to all of the volunteers, ripper participants and the other photographers, it was definitely a Ripper to remember!

~Danielle
