EB Riding Tip:

Cornering tip: To develop solid cornering skills for moderate to high speed flat corners, try rotating your torso to look into the desired direction of your turn with 'all 3 eyes'. As you increase speed, get lower and lower to keep a low centre of gravity, to be able to lean the bike over farther to gain traction and maintain momentum! Have fun!

EB now offering MTB Instructor Training!

Posted: May 19, 2008

Endless Biking is pleased to announce that we are now offering Instructor Training for Level 1 and Level 2 MTB Instructors. EB has been working hard to bring back an endorsed standard to the MTB industry after being left with a void in instructor training for the last few years.

EB is committed to mountain biking’s continued growth and development, so working with some of the most experienced industry leaders, commercial operators and many professional Instructors and Guides have enabled us to assemble such a training program. EB’s Instructor Training Program has been developed to provide Instructors and Guides with guidelines and recommendations suitable for the current landscape of Instructors & Guides in North America and around the world.

Endless Biking has long endorsed the CMIC (Canadian Mountain Bike Instructor Certification) program, along with the NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) to train Instructors and Guides alike. However, the CMIC has been unavailable for over 3 years now and the NCCP has been long outdated as a coaching/competition-based program that was developed over 20 years ago.

Note: This is not a certificate program. However, Endless Biking’s reputation as a service provider offering professional level services, will be recognized by employers in the MTB industry such as Whistler Bike Park, The Dirt Series and more. EB currently trains Instructors for several commercial operators, independent contractors and resorts. References will be available upon request.

Available on a custom basis through the summer of 2008. Level 1, available fall 2008

Level 2 and Youth Ride Leader training offered in spring 2009.

EB Chickas: Race the Ranch

Posted:

This weekend we headed up to Kamloops to participate in Race the Ranch. It was a great weekend, lots of sun, lots of riding and lots of great women racing together!

Here’s a brief recap:

Kelsey flatted near the top of the course and ran her bike down (even through the wall ride) to get second place honors in her category!

Becky came in second in her category, very impressive for her first race ever!

I came in third in her category, not bad after a good crash on course!

We are lucky to have a great community of racers who are all really supportive. We were especially lucky to have Danika Schroeter on hand to help us with everything from pre-runs to pre-race jitters!

Check out photos from the weekend here!

Brockton Mini Trail Day at Loutet

Posted: May 17, 2008

Huge props to the junior mountain bikers from Brockton School in North Van. Those kids worked their buts off today buffing up the Loutet tables.

The kids reclaimed the fire pit, almost finished rebuilding the big berm, reshaped the lips/pumpers, dialed the drainage, picked up all the garbage (3 bags!), hauled out 2 shopping carts, added on-site garbage bags, trimmed all overhanging brush and removed all burnable wood from vicinity…. all in 2 hours!

The best part is these kids, they are so young and they worked so hard! Check out the photo of these groms, super keen to haul out 2 shopping carts at once!

Huge thanks to Dieter of the NSMBA, Danielle Baker and the riders of Brockton School.
