BC Bike Race Update: Day Six

Day 6 was an unbelievable day for many reasons. There were fierce clouds, overnight thundershowers and the fear of wet, technical trails was setting in with the fatigued rider field. They day was filled with a tremendous amount of single-track, easily living up to the hype. Riders came across the line, ecstatic from the thrills or shattered from the punishing route.

Andreas Hestler threw down the hammer right off the bat and made the pack to work to keep him and his partner in sight, Max Plaxton. Dre and Max broke away with such intensity off the start, that they were never seen again during the race until showing up at the finish line, just after the volunteers and MC! No riders imagined a pace like this was possible, until now.

Now the fun/hard part, Stage 7. Can it be finished? It's been a long tough trail but you can bet every last dollar that there isn't one team giving up now, with 6 days under wraps.
