EB Riding Tip:

Brake setup: How many fingers do you brake with? These days, with the technology of disc brakes, we are able to have much more control of our brakes with much less effort.
Try moving your brake levers towards the center of the bike, so that you can comfortably squeeze the brake lever with one finger (index). This will give you all the power you need, much better control and it will improve your handlebar grip too!

BC Bike Race Update: Day Three

Posted: July 1, 2008

Day 3 brings the fun factor way back up for the BCBR, as riders descend fresh new single-track, courtesy of Jeremy Grasby and the Riding Fool Hostel. Although, slightly shorter at 82km, the day still proved to be very challenging with the heat and with the freshly cut trail. Riders times are consistently ranging from 4hrs to 9hrs, with almost every single rider finishing each stage.

Riders were required to navigate waist deep creek crossings, twice while trying to save some energy for the beautiful trails of Cumberland Community Forest. Riders now prep for a private BC Ferries trip to Earl's Cove and Saltery Bay and an early 4:30am wake-up call.
