EB Riding Tip:

Brake setup: How many fingers do you brake with? These days, with the technology of disc brakes, we are able to have much more control of our brakes with much less effort.
Try moving your brake levers towards the center of the bike, so that you can comfortably squeeze the brake lever with one finger (index). This will give you all the power you need, much better control and it will improve your handlebar grip too!

BC Bike Race Update: Day Two

Posted: June 30, 2008

Day 2 of the BCBR showed no signs of mercy, once again. 125+km of grueling logging roads due to a high snow volumes that still remain from an epic winter. The leader board is starting to take shape and the fatigue for some, and conditioning for others is starting to set in.

Team EB had a strong day on Day 2, choosing to team up and work as a pack to get through the blistering heat and long road miles. From here, the riders get to start to sink their tires into the great single track that BC is known for.

Endless Biking currently sits in 3rd place in the 4 person team category in the overall classification. More updates daily...

BC Bike Race Update: Day One

Posted: June 29, 2008

The BC Bike Race is officially under way and team EB is off to a good start. Choosing to pace out the first 2-3 days could really pay off as riders are forced to deal with sweltering heat, dehydration plus the mechanical challenges of putting on such long mileage each day.

Day 1 included a story-book like day from returning champions, Chris Eatough and his partner as they had mechanical issues before even getting out of the initial staging area. With both riders bikes have deraileurs ripped off, they were forced to give the pack a solid 15 minute head-start and have to deal with passing 400 riders to make their way back to the top. Special thanks to James and Fraser of Obsession:Bikes, check out these life-saving photos.

With dozens of bewildered spectators at the finish, The returning champs had battled all the way through the field for a sprint finish for 3rd and 4th place. Wow!

Day 2, 125km of pure hell in the 30+ degree heat. Let's see how the field handles this...
