EB Riding Tip:

Brake setup: How many fingers do you brake with? These days, with the technology of disc brakes, we are able to have much more control of our brakes with much less effort.
Try moving your brake levers towards the center of the bike, so that you can comfortably squeeze the brake lever with one finger (index). This will give you all the power you need, much better control and it will improve your handlebar grip too!

Trips 4 Kids! North Vancouver Sep 13th!

Posted: September 1, 2008

MENTORS NEEDED!

Trips for Kids will be wrapping up its 2008 Summer Rides Program with our second annual event, Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day on Saturday, September 13th at Inter River Park in North Vancouver and we are looking for mentors and volunteers!

The event pairs experienced adults from the Vancouver mountain biking community 1-on-1 with youth to participate in a series of workshops promoting skills, safety, and responsible outdoor recreation. The aim of this event is to provide an opportunity to the youth of Vancouver to spend the day on bikes with a positive role model while acquiring skills, confidence, and above all HAVE FUN! And of course the event is FREE for all the kids and volunteers and will include prizes and great food during and after.
