Youth Rider Levels

Level 1 (L1):

This is where it all starts.
Level 1 is for riders who have little or no trail riding experience but are excited to learn to ride more confidently. Riders learn some essential skills to take to the trails and are gradually introduced to more challenging terrain.

Level 2 (L2):

You've got some experience riding off road trails but bumps, roots and steeper terrain are still pretty scary. You're ready to learn some more advanced bike handling skills to ride more confidently. This level is great for riders who are ready to progress to new levels and discover the trails on the North Shore.

Level 3 (L3):

If you can ride all of the trails and are looking to take the next step as a rider, then this is the level for you. You're comfortable with steep terrain, roots and rocks and stunts but haven't figured out how to clean some really challenging sections. Wheel lifts are no problem and roll downs and drops are fun challenges you enjoy. You will be challenged with harder trails, new skills and a faster pace.
