Curious to see what all the hype is about?
Come join a group and ride with one of our PMBI Certified Instructors to learn some of the foundational skills of mountain biking. As part of the group, you will enjoy a gradual introduction to the North Shore's beginner trails and have the opportunity to meet others who are also making their first tracks off-road.
Within this 2 hour group session we provide you with a hardtail bike & helmet, an introductory lesson and ride with you along an easy green trail. Our Try MTB sessions are all about getting first time riders excited about mountain biking and ready for to take on more!
This is a perfect way to try out mountain biking before making the investment into one of our Progression Session Level 1 courses or Private Lessons.

*please note there is a 2 participant minimum for this ride
All try mountain biking sessions begin at our Endless Biking HQ, unless specified otherwise.
Is this session appropriate for my level of experience?
Our try mountain biking sessions are aimed at those that are new to mountain biking and riding at 'Intro Level'. These sessions provide the perfect opportunity for beginner riders to venture onto some of the North Shore's easy green trails.
Please refer to our Adult Levels page to read more about Intro Level.
Is this a lesson or a ride?
While this is a ride, we do include a basic lesson component to ensure each rider enjoys their experience of mountain biking to the full. We will ride up, through and down some smoother surface trails at an easy pace.
What to bring / wear?
- Some water to drink.
- Cycling / sports clothing & a rain jacket. (Dress in layers and avoid cotton clothing.)
Who will I be riding with?
Our try mountain biking sessions have a maximum participant to instructor ratio of 6:1. While all participants can ride a bike, they have little to no mountain biking experience.
All of our guides are professionally trained & hold a PMBI qualification. You can check out all of our instrcutors / guides here!
