Join a group & try mountain biking with a professional instructor!
We’ll ensure each participant is feeling comfortable on their bike, before guiding them along a beginner trail. As part of the group, they will have the opportunity to meet others who are also making their first tracks off-road and learn together.
Within this 2 hour group session we’ll provide them with a bike / helmet, and gradually introduce you to the world of mountain biking on some of the North Shore's beginner green trails.
Our Try MTB sessions are all about getting first time riders excited about mountain biking and ready for to take on more with the foundational skills! These sessions are the perfect way for your kids to test out mountain biking, and see if it is something for them.
These sessions are often a stepping stone into some of our other youth lessons and camps. Once you start, it's hard to stop!
Get out into nature on one of our bikes & discover what mountain biking is all about!

Is this a lesson or a ride?
While this is a ride, we do include a basic lesson component to ensure each rider enjoys their experience of mountain biking to the full. We will ride up, through and down some smoother surface trails at an easy pace.
What to bring / wear?
- Water & Snacks to keep you going throughout the ride.
- Cycling / sports clothing & a rain jacket. (Dress in layers and avoid cotton clothing.)
Who will I be riding with?
