FAQs

What level should I be in?

Remember this is all about improving your riding and dialling in your skills, and often that means focussing in on the fundamentals in order to reach higher goals!

Level 1 is ideal for those who have little to no mountain biking experience, although want to progress their biking skills and ride off road. We will help you master the fundamentals of mountain biking, break bad habits & learn how to tackle common obstacles on green / blue trails. These sessions are designed to build a solid foundation of skill in order to have success on the North Shore & lead into our level 2 sessions.

Level 2 provides the perfect opportunity for those that have graduated from level 1 to advance their skills. Our level 2 sessions are ideal for riders with experience on North Shore Blus trails & are working towards riding more technical features often found on more difficult Blue and Black trails. These sessions are designed to help improve your efficiency, speed and flow through technical sections of trail, both up and down the mountain!

If you're still unsure after reading through the info above and checking out our Adult Levels page, feel free to give us a call to chat in more detail.

I might not be able to make every date within a block! What are my options?

Our progressions sessions build upon the previous and are designed as a block of four. We stongly recommend that you plan ahead and only join a month that you are able to make all four sessions.

However, if this is not a possability you can book a separate Private Lesson with us to catch up before the next session. We ask that you book this private lesson while the week of the missed session. This way you still receive all the nessassary info needed, in the right order.

I don't own a mountain bike! Can I rent one?

Of course!! We've made it really easy for participants of our progressions sessions to pick-up and drop off their rentals before and after the sessions.

While you are responsible for collecting and transporting your bike, our office staff and your instructor will help make this a smooth process.

We do not deliver bikes to the start locations (even for beer), so please plan ahead and allow enough time to pick-up your rental bike and get to the start location on time.

Who will I be riding with?

All of our instructors are professionally trained & hold a PMBI qualification. You can check out all of our instrcutors / guides here!

Our progressions sessions attract those that are keen mountain bikers that share a passions for improving their riding. With our 6:1 ratio, you're sure to meet a few friends along the way!

Where will we ride?

We use a number of different trails and riding areas across the North Shore within our progression sessions. Once you book, you will receive a detailed itinerary attached to your order confirmation email, that shows all start locations.
