SESSION #1 Overview

Theme: Introduce Concepts

Topics: Postioning (for Climbing & Descending), Controls (Cadence w PWL & Selective Braking for Tech)

This session is designed to build up your foundation and understanding of key concepts for the whole program!

How to get there:

  • Drive & Park on Northlands drive or Larkhall Crescent

  • If renting a bike, ride from our shop (25min)

SESSION #2 Overview

Theme: Try it on trail & Develop

Topics: Wheel Lift Warmup, then Cornering is the theme: Working on angulation and selective Braking for Flowing through terrain.

You’ll apply key concepts learned in session #1 & learn how to corner with finesse. You’ll ride away with a number of skills that will be useful on every single ride.

How to get there:

  • Drive & park on Coleman St or Mt. Highway. Please Note Mt. Fromme gate closure times & limited parking in the parking lot.

  • Take #210 bus to McNair Drive then pedal up Mountain Highway to start

SESSION #3 Overview

Theme: Try it on trail & Expand

Topics: This session is all about building on from Session #1 & #2 & further developing tactics for riding with more flow on technical ups & downs.

Trail Scanning: Burst & Recover, Smooth vs Direct vs Efficient (for ups & downs)

Learn the value of good Terrain Awareness and how to utilize it to improve your ride, carry flow & have more #googtimesonbikes. Using terrain on lower Seymour, we'll challenge you with fun and exciting lines both up and down the mountain.

  • Drive and park in the Lower LSCR parking Lot below the yellow gate

SESSION #4 Overview

Theme: Apply it on Trail & Perform

Topics: Using the lower fromme trails, we’ll ride roll-downs in a variety of ways and learn to control our bikes at faster speeds over stepped roots and rocks.

Put it all together and find the Flow! On trail & try some roll down various features.

We’ll put together all skills learnt throughout the program & end on a high!

How to get there:

  • Drive & park on Braemar Rd between Princess Ave and Regent Ave. Please Note there is limited parking near the Start/End location.
  • Take #232 bus to 15th and Lonsdale Ave, transfer to the #230 bus to Princess Ave @ 3800 Block. Pedal to starting location via the gravel powerline trail.
